CFGD Announces March Seminar for Investment Stewards

Dubuque, IA. – The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque announces “Prudent Practices for Investment Stewards,” a seminar to be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Northeast Iowa Community College Town Clock Center for Professional Development, 680 Main Street, Dubuque.
During this two-hour workshop, speakers Brad Chalmers and David Eaton of Chalmers & Eaton Investment Services, LLC, will discuss practices that attorneys, accountants, investment committee members, trustees and others legally responsible for managing other peoples’ money can implement to ensure a fiduciary standard of excellence. The workshop will provide the framework for disciplined investment procedures as well as what can be done to improve an investment steward’s decision-making process.
This educational workshop qualifies for: 1.5 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit hours; 2 continuing education credit hours through the Iowa Insurance Division; and is recommended for 2 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit hours.
To ensure that nonprofit organizations benefit from this valuable information, the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque is partially underwriting this workshop. The cost to attend is $30 per individual; for board participation, the cost is $30 for the first two attendees and $15 for each additional attendee.
