Foundation for the Future of Delaware County
The mission of the FFDC is to bridge the county’s needs with responsive giving.
Entrusted with this responsibility, we have a four-part mission to:
• Identify, assess, and monitor county needs;
• Help donors have an impact on the lives and issues they care about most;
• Provide grants to nonprofit organizations serving Delaware County; and
• Provide leadership on important issues and projects throughout the county.
The Foundation for the Future of Delaware County was formed in 2005 as an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque. The founding members of the organization had a vision to ensure that our communities charitable programs were supported now- and in the future. We work together with many individuals, families, business, and organizations to establish endowment funds that will provide grant awards for years to come.
The Foundation for the Future of Delaware County is governed by a local committee who are active in our local communities. Members of our committee are: Marilyn Schnittjer, Natalie Ross, Cindy Vorwald, Glen Puffett, Jackie Johnson, Jill Buschman, Jerry Burke, Larry G. Gritton, Jim Fisher
