Mentoring

Child Advocacy Board - Teamed with the Child Advocacy Board to offer a CASA volunteer for older youth in foster care. The CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) worker will assist the youth as he/she prepares to transition out of the foster care system. Dare to Be a King - The Dubuque Community Y and Juvenile Court Services are teaming together to offer this group mentoring program to young African American boys in the Dubuque community. This pilot program is working with a group of 8-12 middle school aged boys. The curriculum is a best practice curriculum was purchased by Juvenile Court Services to work with low-risk juvenile offenders as a preventative program.
