About Us
Our history clearly demonstrates that buildings come and go. But Church is not about buildings. They only provide the shell in which to gather the community of believers. Rather, the Church is about People and their relationship with God. The people of St. Philomena, and now Resurrection, are deeply rooted in the values and faith of the Catholic Church. The fact that parish exists today is due to the determination of its members who donated much time, talent and treasure to make their parish a reality. Resurrection parish today is the result of their vision and sacrifice.
Mission
The Resurrection St. Philomena Endowment fund was established to maintain a firm financial foundation. As we look ahead to our future, Resurrection will remain a visible presence of our faith.

In our effort to become Christlike by serving others, Resurrection hosts mobile food pantries. Each mobile food pantry requires a minimum of 70 volunteers. In past food distributions, the volunteer base has included Resurrection parishioners, Loras College students, representatives from the Knights of Columbus- and friends from other parishes. People recognize that these efforts make a positive impact on our Dubuque community- and that the Mobile Food Pantry is a great way to work with others in a hospitable setting.
