Community Impact Grants
Community Impact Grants are awarded from the unrestricted funds of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque to improve policies and practices affecting the Greater Dubuque community and have the greatest possible impact. View full 2019 grant guidelines.
Organizations must be located in and serve Clayton, Clinton, or Dubuque counties to be eligible for the Community Impact Grants. Organizations located in our other service areas where their county receives state County Endowment grantmaking dollars should refer to their local Community Foundation for grant opportunities.
Four capacity building areas are funded by Community Impact Grants:
Training & Development: Proposals that build the staff and board capacity at nonprofits through training, education and professional development opportunities.
Collaboration & Coaching: Proposals that build collaborative efforts with other local nonprofits, community groups and peer organizations.
Research & Planning: Proposals that support research, data collection, assessment and planning to support organizations in understanding community needs and determining their best strategies.
Operational Strategy: Proposals that support operational capacity building within the organization.
