Grants to Green
From 2014 to 2016, Grants to Green (G2G) helped nonprofit organizations become more sustainable by granting $1 million to fund energy improvement development projects. The three-year program ended after awarding grants to 32 organizations, while leveraging $1,478,660 in match dollars from grantees, and saving nonprofits an estimated $264,000 in annual utility costs.

Grants to Green Strategic Partners
The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque was awarded a $1.25 million grant by the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta in March 2014 to run this three-year program.
In addition, the Iowa Energy Center also awarded CFGD a $200,000 matching grant that provided match funds for participating nonprofits.
G2G was a strategic partnership between the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque and several organizations including:
- MEP Engineers
Assistance with energy assessments and analysis
- Trailhead Energy
Assistance with program management and evaluation
- East Central Intergovernmental Association’s Petal Project
