Ulrike Schultz and Chuck Seymour Join Foundation for Dubuque Public Schools Board

Dubuque, IA – Ulrike (Uli) Schultz and Chuck Seymour were recently elected to the Foundation for Dubuque Public Schools (FDPS) Board of Directors.

Uli Schultz is a physician, public health professional, adjunct professor at Loras College, and Dubuque Community School District (DCSD) parent. She moved from Germany to the United States 13 years ago, and settled with her family in Dubuque in 2010.  In addition to her work with FDPS, Schultz has served as a member of the Empowerment Board of Johnson County, the University of  Iowa, College of Public Health Strategic Planning Committee, and as the president of the Women’s Giving Circle (WGC) of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque (CFGD), where she is active on the grant making committee. Additional volunteer activities include mentorship roles with DCSD middle school students, and with graduate students at the University of Iowa, College of Public Health.

Chuck Seymour is the vice president/general manager at Farber Bag & Supply Co.  His wife works as a sixth grade teacher in the DCSD, and his three children are graduates of Hempstead and Senior High Schools.  Seymour’s volunteer activities include teaching high school religious education for 10 years, serving as a mentor at Kennedy Elementary School, and participating in the “Teach Children to Save” financial literacy program.  Prior to Farber Bag, Seymour spent 15 years at American Trust, working with business and community leaders throughout Dubuque and the tri-state area.
