Mentor Dubuque

Background:

We do not have a formal board. Instead we have an advisory council. 

Our mission is to create and support one to one mentoring relationships between youth facing challenges and caring adults to positively impact lives.

Mentor Dubuque recruits adult volunteers to mentor youth. Each adult is paired with one child and the match is asked to spend 4-5 hours together each month. The match engages in healthy, positive activities and the mentor serves as a role model.

CAPABLE Volunteer Co.

CAPABLE Volunteer Co. helps people with physical, medical, or mental health challenges to believe in their potential through volunteering. We connect them with sites in our community or they can volunteer at our workshop where we make items that we donate to other organization's fundraisers. Dubuque Mercy Health Foundation

The current mission statement for the Dubuque Mercy Health Foundation reads:

To encourage, accept and manage gifts and grants from public and private sources, and to direct them in a manner consistent with the purposes of Mercy Medical Center- Dubuque, and support its charitable, health care, education and community service programs.

The Dubuque Mercy Health Foundation is an instrument for the advancement of healthcare and helping provide that margin of excellence for Mercy Medical Center, as it serves those who come through our doors.

Our only fundraising event is the Black & White Gala held in November. We have a Donor Celebration event in August, a Breakfast with the President in February and a Distinguished Donor event in October.
