About Us
The Dyersville Area Community Foundation is activating the Dyersville Area Community Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund. The fund activation is an outcome of the boards disaster preparedness planning and helps ensure a strategic response for charitable giving during times of emergency. As our community and its most vulnerable populations are facing the effects of COVID-19, the Dyersville Area Community Foundation COVID-19 Relief Fund provides an opportunity for the public to give with the reassurance their donations will be used to quickly move resources to where they are most urgently needed in their own community. The flexibility of the fund ensures the community will be prepared to respond to the most urgent needs not being met by existing non-profit, local, state and federal programs. You can donate here online or checks can be made out to DACF COVID-19 Relief Fund and dropped off at Fidelity, MidWestOne, or Community Savings Bank drive-ups. Checks can also be mailed to DACF, 1100 16th Ave.Ct.SE, Dyersville, IA 52040.

Normally Senior Centers are buzzing with visitors, volunteers and activities. However, when COVID-19 became a threat, things changed dramatically. No visitors or volunteers were allowed and all group activities were cancelled. Many of the elderly residents struggled with anxiety and depression. When Oak Crest Senior Care asked the Dyersville Area Community Foundation for help, they responded. The Foundation granted Oak Crest $1,800.00 to purchase iPads, books, games, puzzles and paint sets to help alleviate stress and occupy the resident's time. This storyalong with the countless others like itdemonstrates the importance of the Dyersville Area Community Foundation. Like all community foundations, we are uniquely situated to improve our region through supporting innovative solutions and creating powerful partnerships.
