About: 4 the People Inc is an Iowa Nonprofit Corporation that focuses on education, civic engagement, economic well-being, safety and health. The 4 the People Fund is managed by the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, which is a tax-exempt public charity. Engaging People: Engage people of diverse backgrounds by providing an environment conducive for forming connections in a respectful and engaging relationship and where a sense of community is built. Community Focused: 4 the People Inc focuses time and attention on building a genuine sense of community to engage people of diverse backgrounds. We believe that a sense of community is built when people know your name and care for you, and that this helps people care and feel ownership as it relates to their family, school, and community. Relationships and Meaningful Partnerships: Achieving these goals is going to require support and involvement of everyone -- students, families, business and government, non-profit organizations and foundations, colleges and universities. There is a need in the Dubuque community to strengthen and expand these relationships to broaden support for people of diverse backgrounds.
