The Dubuque Chorale is a community choral organization composed of over 100 volunteer singers from Dubuque and outlying communities. Dennis Williams founded the group in 1971. The Chorale's initial purpose was to study and perform great choral masterworks with orchestra; the first season featured Handel's Messiah and Haydn's Creation. Since then, the group has presented over 60 major works, and its mission has evolved to include all great choral music. The Chorale's 40+ years of performances, with over 1,100 singer alumni reaching more than 40,000 audience members, attests to the accomplishment of this mission. The Chorale encourages tri-state citizens who like to sing to join us regardless of age, race, income, or socio-economic status. In 2014, we will expand our reach into arts education with the formation of a new children's choir. The Chorale performs in churches, auditoriums, concert halls, parks, and other venues in and around Dubuque. We have expanded our programming to be collaborative, interactive, educational, and relevant to our community. Admission to concerts is Free, allowing everyone equal access to our art form. The Dubuque Chorale is supported primarily by gifts from individuals. Contributions are deeply appreciated and fund our concert expenses, music purchases, and enable us to collaborate with other artists. Each gift strengthens our mission, gives voice to inspired choral music, and supports wonderful concerts. Thank you sincerely for considering a gift to the Dubuque Chorale today!
