Created by and organized by the Hodge Company in 2009, Run4Troops has quickly become one the area’s premier community events. What started out as a grassroots effort to bring awareness to the men and women in uniform, has grown into an event that now attracts over 850+ participants from across the country.
The marathon, which boasts Boston-qualifying status, spans along the picturesque Heritage Trail from Dyersville to Dubuque, Iowa and can be run as an individual or as a relay team of up to 12 members. While the race provides a sense of competition for participants, it means much more for those involved. The relay-style format has brought together the local business community and companies have chosen to rally their employees to join in Run4Troops heartfelt mission – to support Tri-State Military – past, present and future.
In its 9th year, Run4Troops has helped raise over $100,000 through registration fees, sponsorships and individual donations. These funds directly support Tri-State military through causes such as: The Veterans Freedom Center, Dubuque ROTC, Honor Flight, and the Local National Guard, to name a few.
