Dr. Liang Chee Wee Featured in Telegraph Herald

The Telegraph Herald featured an opinion piece on finding solutions to life’s challenges by Dr. Liang Chee Wee, Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque board member and President of Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC), in its Oct. 21 issue.

In the piece, Dr. Wee reflects on his childhood in Singapore, where there were no services to support a young boy with a disability in his neighborhood. Here in Dubuque, Wee highlights several community partners advocating for the health, education, financial stability, housing and wellbeing of families and children.

He specifically notes the Community Foundation’s recent Child Care Solutions Summit, held in partnership with Greater Dubuque Development Corp., to address child care challenges families in the region are facing.
