Local Leaders Join Jones County Community Foundation Board of Directors

The Jones County Community Foundation announces that Jim Eichhorn of Wyoming, Leann Herman of Monticello, Dan Lambertsen of Martelle, and Janet Martin of Monticello have joined the JCCF Board of Directors.

Jim Eichorn, Wyoming
Jim is retired from Citizens State Bank in Wyoming.  His community activities includes the Wyoming Fair Association where he is Treasurer, facilitator, and volunteer groundskeeper; the Wyoming Lions Club as Treasurer; the Wyoming Area Betterment as Treasurer; the Wyoming Historical Museum Commission as Chairman, as Coordinator for the Wyoming Christmas Lights; and as a member of the St. Luke’s Rural Health Foundation grant committee.

Leann Herman, Monticello
For the past 12 years, Leann has owned and operated Java Jones in Monticello.  Prior to opening the coffee shop, she worked at the Monticello Family Resource Center, providing support and resources to families in the Monticello and Midland Community School Districts. 

Dan Lambertsen, Martelle
Dan served with the US Army in Vietnam and is a current member of the American Legion, Post 13 Honor Squad. He has worked at JC Penney as a Department Mgr., Bryan Manufacturing as a Production Control Mgr., Wears, Inc. and Scherrman's Implement in Ag sales, for Mardel Corp as owner/ operator family farm, as a Jones County Board of Supervisor, for Citizens Bank as a Loan Officer, and for Community Motors, Junge and Lynch in Car Sales.

Janet Martin, Monticello
Janet is a 4-H youth development specialist with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach where she supervises staff, leads volunteer training and secures resources and funding for 4-H programming.  Janet has been a community volunteer in Monticello with the United Church of Monticello, Monticello Schools, and Four Oaks.

The Foundation also thanks retiring board members Cali Beals and Dr. David Gilchrist for their dedicated service to our organization and community. Cali and Dr. Gilchrist have served on the board since inception and thanks to their hard work with the other board members and their vision have positioned the JCCF for a successful future creating endowment funds that will support Jones County forever.
