Melissa Douglas Hired as Foundation Coordinator
The Dyersville Area Community Foundation (DACF) has hired Melissa Douglas in the role of foundation coordinator, aiding Executive Director Nancy Dunkel and the board in its mission to connect donors with the philanthropic causes they care about.
“As chair of the Community Foundation, I feel Melissa’s involvement with our board members is very crucial to moving forward positively in the communities that we serve,” said Sheila Tegeler, DACF board chair. “Her support will allow our board to accelerate our mission to build endowments now and for the future.”
Douglas is a Dyersville native whose career has taken her from Prudential Financial to St. Francis Xavier School. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Loras College, serves on the Dyersville Little League Association Board and is a member of the St. Frances Xavier Parent Association. Douglas and her husband, Michael, have two sons, Hunter and Haylen.
“I look forward to making a positive impact within the community where I grew up and chose to raise my kids,” said Douglas.
“I’m excited to work with Melissa Douglas,” said Karla Thompson, DACF board secretary. “Her role to assist the DACF board, grow the endowments and increase the awareness of the board’s mission will enable more projects to be completed.”
Douglas can be reached by email at dacf@dbqfoundation.org or by phone at 563.590.9988.
