DUBUQUE, IA— The Foundation for Dubuque Public Schools (FDPS) is seeking nominations for the 2019 Distinguished Hometown Alumni Award. The award recognizes Dubuque Community School District graduates who currently live in the Dubuque area and have made a significant impact in the community. The winner will be honored at the FDPS Enhancing Excellence Luncheon on April 9, 2019.

With the award, FDPS aims to share real-life examples of Senior High School, Hempstead High School and Alternative Learning Center alumni who have benefitted from Dubuque’s public education and have used their time, talent or resources for the betterment of others. Previous recipients include philanthropist and community leaders such as Cheryl Falb and Susan Butler Ritts, Tim Hodge and Jeffrey Mozena.

Anyone may submit a nomination for the Distinguished Hometown Alumni award through January 18, 2019.  Submit your nominations at dbqfoundation.org/FDPS or call 563.588.2700 to request a printed form.
