Three-Part Series to Support Jones County Nonprofits

MONTICELLO, IA--The Jones County Community Foundation (JCCF) is pleased to announce an upcoming series of nonprofit workshops in Jones County starting this spring.

The Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, the JCCF, the Great Jones County Fair, and the USDA Rural Community Development Initiative will sponsor the series to be held at the Youth Development Center, located at 800 North Maple Street in Monticello.

Part I: Board Boot Camp
Tuesday, April 21, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities of
board members.

Part II: What is Endowment?
Tuesday, June 9, 8:30-10:00 a.m.
Participants will learn about endowment funds and their potential for preserving local funds to support the future of organizations.

Part III: Grantwriting Workshop
Tuesday, August 11, 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Participants will learn how to write wining proposals. Kari McCann, director of philanthropic and nonprofit partnerships at the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, will share her insights and experience as a grant writer and
grant reviewer.
